In the Odesa region, law enforcement officers notified an employee of the district TCC and SP of suspicion of abuse of influence combined with extortion of undue advantage. This crime is provided for in Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, reports UNN citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, in May 2026, a conscript with disability group III sought advice from the official through a familiar lawyer regarding the registration and subsequent deferment from mobilization.
The suspect demanded $11,000 to resolve the issue. At the same time, she assured that without her assistance, it was impossible to resolve this matter.
The man reported the illegal demand to law enforcement agencies and subsequently acted under their control. The employee of the RTCC and SP was detained in one of Odesa's restaurants immediately after receiving part of the undue advantage
The detainee was remanded in custody with an alternative of bail of almost 1 million hryvnias.
