President Zelenskyy stated that he respects both Fedorov and Syrskyi, but the missions of "deep strikes" on Russia are the result of the joint efforts of the secret service, intelligence, and soldiers.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy respects both former Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov and ex-Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, as both acknowledge that long-range strikes on Russia are "not about one person," but rather a joint effort, with operations led by the secret service, intelligence units, and soldiers on the ground. The head of state said this in an interview with CNN, reports UNN.

According to Zelenskyy, he does not want internal disputes between officials to affect military decision-making.

"I don't have time for negotiations. Listen, I don't have time to hear one side and then hear the other, because the two sides are not ready to meet every day. And I don't need to figure out who is right and who is wrong,"

- Zelenskyy said.

Context

On July 15, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had decided to dismiss Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of Minister of Defense. He was replaced by former acting head of the SBU, Yevhen Khmarа.

Subsequently, protests took place in many cities of Ukraine over Fedorov's resignation. Activists demanded not only his return to the Ministry of Defense, but also the replacement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Later, Oleksandr Syrskyi announced his resignation from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that he was handing over to his successor "an army that not only holds the defense, but is also in a state of offensive."

Against this backdrop, Zelenskyy offered Fedorov "a worthy position in the government that would allow uniting the technological component of our state and ensuring its development."
