A US federal judge has again ruled that President Donald Trump's plan to build a White House ballroom without congressional approval is illegal. This was reported by Reuters, writes UNN.
Details
District Judge Richard Leon clarified his previous injunction against the construction, accusing the Trump administration of "brazen" and "insincere" interpretation of the court's decision.
The court allowed only limited work related to national security facilities but prohibited ground construction of the ballroom itself.

The essence of the conflict
The lawsuit was filed by the non-profit organization National Trust for Historic Preservation. It claims that Trump exceeded his authority when he ordered the demolition of the historic East Wing of the White House and began construction of a hall worth more than $400 million.
The administration insisted that the project was important for national security, particularly due to protective elements – missile-resistant columns and a drone-proof roof.
Trump's reaction
Trump himself sharply criticized the court's decision, calling the judge "very political" and "uncontrolled."
The ballroom is extremely important for our national security, and no judge should be allowed to stop this historic and militarily important project
