A large Russian military echelon with equipment, ammunition, and personnel arrived at the territory of the former Krychev-6 airbase in Belarus in late December 2025. This was reported by the Community of Railway Workers of Belarus, according to UNN.
Details
According to the organization, the echelon was dispatched from the Kapustin Yar station in Russia and arrived at the Krychev I station in the Mogilev region, from where it was delivered directly to the Krychev-6 facility. The sender of the cargo is identified as the 4th State Central Inter-specific Proving Ground of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the recipient is the Military Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
Over 60 wagons of military cargo delivered to Belarus
According to the Community of Railway Workers of Belarus, the echelon consisted of 54 flatcars with military equipment, six covered wagons with gear, one wagon with ammunition, and passenger cars with personnel. In total, there were more than 61 wagons.
The organization notes that as of mid-May 2026, the delivered Russian contingent had not left the territory of Krychev-6, and no new military echelons have been recorded at this facility since the December shipment. Previously, this territory drew attention due to statements regarding the possible deployment of the Russian "Oreshnik" missile system there, though no confirmation was provided.
