American company RTX has signed a contract to produce Patriot interceptors for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The new PAC-2 missiles will shoot down ballistic and aerial targets.

American defense company Raytheon (an RTX division) has signed a contract to supply modernized PAC-2 missiles for Ukraine's needs. This is stated in the company's announcement, as reported by UNN.

The company noted that the new missile production facility is expected to play a key role in supporting this direct commercial sale and other contracts, ensuring supply chain resilience and helping to replenish Ukraine's interceptor stockpiles.

The company also stated that the PAC-2 missile, designed to intercept all types of aerial threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, is the primary effector in the battle-proven Patriot air and missile defense system. The Patriot system is the backbone of air defense for 19 countries and continues to demonstrate its effectiveness against almost all types of aerial threats.
