Since the beginning of the day, the aggressor has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 39 times. Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, the settlements of Sopych, Novovasylivka, Bachivsk, Rohizne, Kysla Dubyna, Volfyne, Korenok, Tovstodubove, Budky, Zarichchya, and Ulanove in the Sumy region, and Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region, were affected. Air strikes hit the settlements of Esman, Vilna Sloboda, and Luzhky in the Sumy region
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat engagement took place; the enemy carried out 40 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, one combat engagement with the enemy is ongoing in the area of Petro-Ivanivka.
In the Kupiansk, Kramatorsk, and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled three combat engagements in the areas of the settlements of Zarichne, Dibrova, and Ozerne; one combat engagement is currently ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne and Kryva Luka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders carried out seven attacks near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have tried 17 times to push our soldiers from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards the settlements of Shevchenko and Bilytske. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked once in the area of Ternove.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Dobropillia, Zlahoda, Pryluky, Charivne, and Huliaipilske.
In the Orikhiv direction, one enemy attack is ongoing in the area of Bilohirya.
In other directions, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded.

Over the past day, May 22, 216 combat engagements took place on the front line. The enemy launched 83 air strikes and dropped 264 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 9,753 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,195 shellings of settlements and positions of the Defense Forces, including 34 from multiple launch rocket systems.
