Starting September 1, students in grades 1–11 across the country will receive hot lunches. 1 billion hryvnias have been allocated for the modernization of 73 school cafeterias.

Starting September 1, students in grades 1–11 across Ukraine should receive hot lunches. This was announced by First Vice Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko following a meeting with heads of Regional Military Administrations, reports UNN

Details

According to Svyrydenko, the meeting focused on key topics: defense, energy, and preparations for the upcoming heating season. Separately, they discussed the readiness of regions for the next stage of the school nutrition reform. 

Starting September 1, students in grades 1–11 across Ukraine should receive hot lunches. Today, free meals are already provided for all children in frontline communities and for students in grades 1–4 in all regions 

- Svyrydenko reported.

According to her, the government has already allocated 1 billion UAH for the modernization of 73 school cafeterias across Ukraine.

School nutrition is not only about social support but also about the development of the local economy, jobs, and support for Ukrainian producers 

- Svyrydenko concluded.
