Starting September 1, students in grades 1–11 across Ukraine should receive hot lunches. This was announced by First Vice Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko following a meeting with heads of Regional Military Administrations, reports UNN.

According to Svyrydenko, the meeting focused on key topics: defense, energy, and preparations for the upcoming heating season. Separately, they discussed the readiness of regions for the next stage of the school nutrition reform.

According to her, the government has already allocated 1 billion UAH for the modernization of 73 school cafeterias across Ukraine.
