The operation of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kurin began with the disorientation of the enemy: the reserves of the Russians were dispersed, and control was lost. Thanks to this, the Ukrainian military was able not only to achieve significant success at the start, but also to fulfill the key task - to move as far as possible, while maintaining control over the situation.

This is stated in the documentary "Operation Kursk", reports UNN.

All the commanders knew that it was impossible and not worth stopping in front of the settlement. It must be blocked, and the main units move forward

- said the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.

The main task was to move forward as far as the composition of the troops allows, without creating risks to the rear and logistics.

But we understood that it was impossible to go very far, because the enemy could cut off the supply routes, go to our rear – and that would be the end of it. Therefore, we went exactly as far as we could with the forces involved

- explained the head of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Komarenko.

Battles for settlements fighting in settlements requires careful tactics to quickly isolate the enemy and avoid delaying time.

We decided to act as actively as possible: go to the enemy's rear, occupy favorable lines. This forced the enemy garrisons that were located in populated areas to be surrounded. They had nowhere to go, so many surrendered

-said the commander of the 82nd separate Airborne Assault Brigade Dmitry Voloshin.

How support was provided paratroopers who performed assault tasks received significant assistance from artillery and other units.

The first thing we did was storm the checkpoint. Our battalion was engaged. It was difficult to knock out the enemy, but the older brother-artillery - and the rest of the fire crews helped us complete the task

 - said a military man with the call sign "Pixel".
