Representatives of the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and China met in Dubai to discuss nuclear doctrines. The meeting was chaired by China. This was reported by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, according to UNN.
The meeting, which was held at the expert level and chaired by China, was attended by representatives of five nuclear-weapon states. The parties decided that such a discussion was timely in order to improve understanding of each other's nuclear doctrines and avoid misunderstandings and miscalculations.
These were the first full-fledged consultations under China's one-year presidency of the nuclear P5+1.
