During the air attack, the Defenders destroyed 56 enemy attack UAVs. This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.

On the night of December 15, 2024, the enemy launched a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using the S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile, as well as 108 Shahed attack drones and other modifications of UAVs.
The air attack was repelled by the efforts of anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to effective coordination, Ukrainian defenders confirmed the destruction of 56 enemy UAVs that were detected in different regions - Chernihiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Dnipro.
A total of 49 enemy drones failed to reach their targets due to effective countermeasures, and three of them returned to the territory of the terrorist country.
However, the crash of the downed drones damaged critical infrastructure, apartment buildings and private homes, cars and property. The victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.
