The idea of deporting unemployed Ukrainians was most strongly supported by those who identify as right-wing (79% gave positive responses), but even among those who identify as left-wing, more than half would like to implement the immigration plan announced by PiS at its latest convention, the publication writes.
When asked, "Should Poland deport Ukrainian men of conscription age who do not work legally in Poland?", respondents answered decisively: a majority (67%) believed that it should. Fewer than one in four respondents (23%) held the opposite view, while one in eleven had no opinion on the issue.
The poll was conducted by the IBRiS Institute for Market and Social Research at the end of last week, after PiS presented its migration policy plan. Part of the plan of Jarosław Kaczyński's party includes the proposed and announced deportation of male Ukrainian citizens who do not work legally in Poland and are of conscription age.
