Ukraine continues to systematically take out Russian aircraft, air defenses, and rear logistics. On August 23, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Robert "Madyar" Brovdi published a list of 14 successfully hit military targets, while in Orenburg the Ozon logistics hub came under attack for the second time in two days. Fire Point-produced weapons were used in both operations, UNN reports.
Details
The main part of Madyar's list consists of elements of Russia's air defense. It includes eight radar stations, two surface-to-air missile systems, and an S-400 "Triumf" position.
Thus, of the 14 targets named by Madyar, three were Russian aircraft, while another 11 were part of the enemy's detection and air defense system.
Ozon came under attack for the second time in two days
At the same time, on the morning of August 23, an FP-1 strike drone manufactured by Fire Point hit the logistics complex of the Russian marketplace Ozon in Orenburg. The use of an FP-1 was confirmed to UNN by Fire Point co-owner and chief designer Denys Shtilerman.
For Ozon, this is already the second attack in two days.
On August 22, Ukrainian FP-1 drones hit the company's logistics hub in Chapayevsk, Samara region. The Chapayevsk hub was one of Ozon's largest logistics centers in the Volga region. After all phases were launched, its area amounted to approximately 135,000 square meters, its capacity exceeded 40 million items, and the complex could process more than 215,000 orders per day.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained the rationale behind the strikes on Russian logistics centers. The ministry emphasized that such facilities are used to store dual-use goods, and that systematically striking them complicates the enemy's logistics and hits the Russian economy.
After the strike on the hub in Chapayevsk, the Ministry of Defense stated that Ukrainian units had previously struck 15 of Wildberries' largest logistics hubs, and that now "it was Ozon's turn."
In fact, these are no longer isolated strikes on individual facilities. Ukraine is simultaneously taking out Russian air defense systems, aircraft, and infrastructure that ensures the movement of goods and supplies within the russian federation.
