The Deputy Minister of Energy informed about possible complications in the power system due to the cold snap. Power engineers work around the clock and take temperature risks into account when forming the energy balance.

The situation in the power system may be complicated by lower temperatures, but power engineers work 24/7 and this risk is always taken into account when forming a balance. This was announced by Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk during a telethon, UNN reports.

When asked how the weather affects the load and the intensity of current consumption, Kolisnyk replied: "The situation can be complicated by lower temperatures, but power engineers work 24/7, and this risk, this criterion, is always taken into account when forming a balance.

Mr. Kolisnyk emphasized that today  the steps necessary to maintain the balance in the power system are being promptly taken.
