Verkhovna Rada adopts law that will help TOT residents continue their education in Ukrainian educational institutions

Parliament passed a law that provides for a mechanism for evaluating learning outcomes for people who received education in the TOT.

The Parliament adopted a law that provides for a mechanism through which residents who received their education in the temporarily occupied territory will be able to get an assessment of their education results. The law also is also intended to help TOT residents continue their education in Ukrainian educational institutions or obtain a certain educational degree. This was reported by UNN with reference Telegram Ministry of Reintegration.

The Parliament adopted a law that provides a mechanism for assessing learning outcomes for people who have been educated in the TOT. The Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Recognition of Educational Results of Persons Residing in the Temporarily Occupied Territory of Ukraine" was adopted in the second reading. The law, in particular, allows residents of such territories to continue their studies in Ukrainian educational institutions or obtain a certain educational degree

- the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reports.

Details

It is noted that the list of educational institutions that will conduct such certification will be determined by the by the Government. In addition, a list of specialties (professions) will be determined for which certification will not be allowed.   

The Draft Law was developed at the initiative of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the people's deputies of Ukraine. Members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovations recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt a draft law on improving the the educational process in higher education.
