According to KCSA, the Lybidska metro station is temporarily closed to the public. The station is open for exit. Trains are making stops on both tracks.
"On one of the escalators working downhill, one of the passengers' shoes got caught in the mechanism due to a step over the limit line. This caused the escalator to stop," the statement said.
KCSA added that an ambulance was called to the scene. Escalator repair specialists are also on site.
"Due to the overhaul of escalator No. 1, there is no reserve to ensure passenger transportation. We will inform you about the resumption of the Lybidska station's normal operation later," the statement said.
