The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has been reconnected to the grid following the successful repair of the "Ferrosplavna" backup power line. This was reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), UNN informs.

It is noted that the latest blackout, linked to military actions, lasted nearly three days, making it one of the longest such losses of power supply at the facility. The IAEA team monitored the repair work near the ZNPP.
The IAEA continues to observe repair work at the switchyard of the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant (ZTPP), as well as demining activities in another frontline area near the ZNPP, to also enable the repair of the main power line — the 750 kV Dniprovska line, which has been disconnected since March. Repairs to both the power lines and the switchyard are essential to ensure off-site power supply to the ZNPP and to prevent a nuclear accident,
He expressed deep concern regarding the intensification of military activity in recent days and weeks, which further jeopardizes key nuclear safety principles. Grossi pointed to the need for maximum military restraint near all nuclear installations.

On June 11, due to an attack on a substation, the ZNPP was left without external power for the nineteenth time. The plant is operating on diesel generators to cool its six reactors.
