Ukraine will use diplomatic channels to convey the necessary information to the Chinese side regarding the involvement of Chinese citizens in the war on the side of Russia. The SBU is carrying out the first procedural actions with captured PRC citizens. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address, reports UNN.
The Security Service of Ukraine is carrying out the first procedural actions with captured Chinese citizens. They are in Kyiv. They are communicating with investigators. They are providing information about how they ended up at the front, how they became participants in this international crime, this Russian war against Ukraine
The President noted that Ukraine also has information about other PRC citizens in the Russian army - with names, surnames and a description of the specific ways in which such soldiers enter the Russian occupation contingent.
Through diplomatic channels, we will convey the necessary information to the Chinese side and, of course, to everyone in the world who heard how Beijing said that this war should not be fueled even more and its scale expanded. The involvement of Chinese citizens in this war is definitely fueling a bigger problem. And this needs to be addressed in a fundamental way. Strengthening the occupation contingent and talking about peace are mutually exclusive things. We also expect the partners to be principled - to be principled in supporting Ukraine
