President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects a "productive meeting" with the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Andy Burnham, outlining the topics during the meeting, announced by London for Monday, writes UNN.
I had a very good phone conversation with the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I hope we will have a productive bilateral meeting during which we will discuss a wide range of issues
He noted that Kyiv and London "have done a lot together with Keir, and we need to continue, to open a new page in our relations."
"For example, the Drone Deal. I want to build a large plant in the United Kingdom based on new technologies and share them with our partners. We are ready to share all our experience with the United Kingdom. I hope the United Kingdom will do the same. We need to make this Drone Deal very strong," the President stated.
"During the meeting, I will speak not only about our needs but also about how we see our bilateral relations in the future. What we can do together to strengthen both Ukraine and the United Kingdom," Zelenskyy continued.
He noted: "There are three things that are very important for creating something new."
"Funding is needed. Technologies that Ukraine and the United Kingdom have are needed. Ukraine has good missiles, but we see that the British Storm Shadow are strong, and we want to produce them or something similar. The United Kingdom wants to have drones like ours, including maritime ones. We are open to this. Next – training. The United Kingdom helped us with this, and we are ready – with all our experience – to share with the United Kingdom what it may need. Then, for example, the United Kingdom does not have anti-ballistic air defense. We need to build our European anti-ballistic system. We can work together."
