President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Latvia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže, who has come to our country for the sixth time already. As reported by the Office of the President, they discussed food security and Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports, as well as the further implementation of the PURL and SAFE programs, reports UNN.
"Thank you for your visit. It was a difficult night for all our people. So thank you for being with us today. We are very grateful to your country and your people for all your support from the very beginning of this war," the Head of State noted.

The President briefed the minister on Russia’s massive ballistic missile and drone strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region this night. As a result of the attack, people were killed, while civilian enterprises, logistics facilities, warehouses, and railway infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Braže expressed her condolences to the affected Ukrainians and their families. She assured them that Latvia would continue to support Ukraine at all levels and expand cooperation in the military sphere, in particular במסגרת the Drone Deal.
The meeting also focused on the further implementation of the PURL and SAFE programs.
Food security and Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports were discussed in detail. According to the minister, the blockade of the grain corridor poses a threat to many countries around the world, so Latvia will raise this issue at all international platforms.
Particular attention was paid to supporting Ukraine’s European integration. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Baiba Braže share the same position: it is important to open four more negotiating clusters as soon as possible. The President thanked Latvia for its steadfast and consistent support on this issue.
