The leaders of Ukraine and France discussed air defense, missiles, diplomacy, and financing Ukraine’s defense for nearly two hours. The sides agreed to speed up deliveries.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an almost two-hour conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The parties discussed Ukraine’s air defense needs, the supply of French equipment and missiles, diplomatic work with partners, and defense financing. He reported this on his Telegram channel, UNN reports.

A very good conversation with Emmanuel, the President of France. We spoke for almost two hours today about all the most important topics. And this concerns, first and foremost, the need for air defense. We greatly appreciate that the President of France is ready to help communicate with our other partners who have the missiles needed for "Patriots." We also discussed French air defense capabilities. I informed Emmanuel about the situation with the strikes. I am grateful for his condolences in connection with the loss of life

According to the president, the parties also agreed to accelerate the delivery of the latest French equipment and missiles.

Thank you for confirming your readiness to provide licenses for the production of missiles. We also discussed the need for funds to finance our defense for this year and the next. We identified defense agreements that require acceleration in our bilateral relations

The leaders of the Coalition of the Willing will meet on August 24 to discuss strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, pressure on Russia, and security guarantees.
