President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed today's massive Russian attack on Ukraine with British Prime Minister Cyrus Starmer in a telephone conversation. The leaders of the two countries agreed to contact European leaders on steps "that should put Ukraine in the strongest possible position before any development of events." This is reported by UNN.
We discussed another act of Russian air terror against the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine with the use of more than 90 missiles and almost 100 drones. Special attention was paid to the issue of further defense cooperation. we agreed to be in close contact with European leaders on steps that should put Ukraine in the strongest possible position before any development of events. I stressed that to do this, Ukraine needs an invitation to NATO and further build up its long-range capabilities
Zelensky thanked Starmer for his large-scale support, in particular for his willingness to allocate at least 3 billion pounds annually for the needs of Ukraine.
In addition, the two leaders discussed Ukraine's possible participation in the Joint Expeditionary Force summit next month in Tallinn. "This year, Ukraine became the only country that took part as an observer in the JEF Joint Protector 2024 exercise. we are interested in deepening cooperation with this association."
Also, according to the President, they agreed to speed up the preparation of an agreement on a hundred-year partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
