According to the Iran-backed rebels, the attack was a response to strikes that they claim Saudi Arabia carried out on the airport of Yemen's capital earlier that day. There is no information about casualties or injuries so far, but the incident represents the biggest escalation between the parties in recent years. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree called on airlines to refrain from flying through Saudi Arabia's airspace.
