Residents of Brovary, through an appeal adopted by members of the city council, called on the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, not to submit a draft resolution to change the name of the city from Brovary to Brovari. The director of the dental clinic believes that all efforts should now be directed to winning the war. And not to engage in controversial renaming, especially when the city's community is against changing its name.
"I am against renaming the name of the city. It's not the right time. We need to win now, and then everything else will follow. This is my personal opinion.
As for the position of the city's residents, the majority are against renaming Brovary to Brovari. There are a few who don't care or who are in favor of the new name.
Therefore, we appealed to MPs about the inexpediency of renaming, and we hope that they will hear the opinion of the city's community," said Iryna Teslya.

At the same time, Iryna Tesla's colleagues in the parliamentary corps point out that renaming Brovary will lead to unnecessary and unnecessary expenses. And these funds would be better spent on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"I am in favor of the old name of the city of Brovary, which we have now. Such initiatives are absolutely out of time. This is first of all. Secondly, it is financially expensive - seals, plates, etc. This will entail funds that can be easily and better sent to the Armed Forces to help them," Brovary City Council deputy and university lecturer Maksym Tkachenko told in a commentary to UNN.
Another city council deputy and business representative, Viktor Gaidukov, shares the same position.
"All businesses will need to change their documentation. New signs will have to be made in the city. Every resident will have to change everything. No one has calculated, but it is very expensive. These funds can be spent on the Armed Forces, and this is much more important today," Gaidukov said in a comment to UNN.

At an extraordinary session, members of the Brovary City Council almost unanimously approved an appeal to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk with a request not to submit a draft resolution to rename Brovary to Brovari.
This resolution was previously registered by a group of MPs led by Roman Lozynskyi, a representative of the Golos faction.
