An easyJet crew member on the loudspeaker says:
Ladies and gentlemen, I realize that the volcano must be exciting for you, but please remain in your seats and keep your seat belt securely fastened
The volcano ejected lava and smoke, and due to the formation of a crack about 3 km long, magma broke through the earth's crust.
Evacuation from the Blue Lagoon resort
Due to the threat of lava flows, tourists were completely evacuated from the Blue Lagoon resort, which is located about 20 km from the eruption site. This happened after the authorities warned of the danger associated with volcanic activity.
