Two local deputies who tried to bribe the head of the Sumy City Military Administration for $100,000 have been exposed in Sumy region. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SAPO.
Details
As UNN has learned from its own sources, it is about Volodymyr Potseluyev, who is the director of St. Panteleimon Clinical Hospital of the Sumy City Council, and Rasul Magomed-Sharipovich Galayev.
On March 26, 2024, under the procedural guidance of the SAPO prosecutor, NABU detectives with the operational support of the SBU exposed two deputies of the Sumy Regional Council, one of whom is also the chief physician of a local medical institution, on offering and providing USD 100 thousand of undue advantage.
It is reported that the deputies offered the money to the head of the Sumy City Military Administration for the merger of two medical institutions, which would increase funding, as well as for the retention of one of the persons who provided the illegal benefit as the chief physician of the merged hospital.
The deputies also promised to provide military administration officials with 10-20% of the allocated budget funding for the newly created medical facility. The individuals were detained red-handed immediately after they provided the first part of the agreed funds - USD 50 thousand. THE FIRST PART OF THE MONEY WAS PAID TO THE HOSPITAL.
The preliminary legal qualification of the detainees' actions is Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Offer, promise or provision of an unlawful benefit to an official).
