According to the source, the administration of the Democratic Party, which is resigning in January 2025, is asking for a reduction in the age of mobilization in Ukraine. Now the age limit is 25 years – the Biden administration proposes to reduce it to 18 years.
The US official said that the" pure mathematics " of the situation in Ukraine is that it needs additional troops to fight. According to the White House, Ukraine has enough weapons, but faces an insufficient number of troops, which needs to be sharply increased.
The official added that," in the opinion of Ukrainians, " it is necessary to mobilize about 160 thousand military personnel, presumably quoting the words of NSDC Secretary Alexander Litvinenko.
