The United States has a limited stockpile of long-range ATACMS missiles that it can transfer to Ukraine. The United States believes that ATACMS should be used for strikes on Crimea, not the Kursk region of Russia. This was reported by CNN, according to UNN.

Some officials have also expressed concern that Ukraine, which according to one Western official has deployed some of its more experienced forces to the Kursk region, may have created weaknesses in its own front lines that Russia could exploit to gain a foothold in Ukraine.
"From a military point of view, it's impressive," the official said of the operation near Kursk. But Ukraine "sends quite experienced troops there, and they cannot afford to lose them.
