254 clashes took place at the front over the past day, with the largest number — up to a quarter of all clashes — on the Kostiantynivka and Lyman axes, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning briefing on August 10, UNN writes.
A total of 254 combat engagements were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike using nine missiles and carried out 87 airstrikes, during which it dropped 278 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders used 10,295 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,193 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops.
The enemy shelled the populated areas of Korenok, Studenok, Vyntorivka, Volfyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Ulanove, Kucherivka, Mala Slobidka, Nova Huta, Neskuchne, Vilna Sloboda, Rohizne, Luzhky, Hirky, Bachivsk, Sopych, Tolstodubove, Simeichyne in Sumy region; and Halahanivka in Chernihiv region.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck seven areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, two ammunition depots, four command posts and four command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles.
Situation by axis
On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, our defenders stopped three enemy assaults over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out an airstrike using three guided aerial bombs and shelled the positions of our troops and populated areas 51 times.
On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, Ukrainian units repelled 25 enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance near the populated areas of Starytsia, Vovchansk, Lyman and Artilne, and toward the populated areas of Izbytske, Volokhivka, Kupyne, Khatnie, Ukrainske, Bereznyky and Ambarne.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy carried out two offensive actions near Petropavlivka and toward Novoplatonivka.
Attempts to breach our defenses were repelled on the Lyman axis, where the occupiers attacked 30 times toward the populated areas of Drobysheve, Lyman, Dibrova and Ozerne, and near the populated areas of Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Torske and Yampil.
On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy carried out seven assault actions near the populated area of Riznykivka and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the occupiers attacked three times near Nykyforivka and toward Yurkivka.
Thirty-one attacks were recorded on the Kostiantynivka axis. The invaders conducted assault actions near the populated areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and Rusyn Yar, and toward Dolha Balka and Mykolaipillia.
The enemy carried out 26 attacks on the Pokrovsk axis. The occupiers attempted to advance near the populated areas of Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne and Molodetske, and toward the populated areas of Kucheriv Yar, Nove Shakhove, Novo Hryshyne, Shevchenko, Svitle, Serhiivka, Muravka, Mati Thisheve and Novopavlivka.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the invaders carried out three attacks toward Danylivka and Novo Zaporizhzhia.
On the Huliaipole axis, the occupiers attacked 21 times. The enemy attempted to advance toward the populated areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Huliaipolske, Rivne and Tsvitkove.
On the Orikhiv axis, our defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance toward Prymorske and near Plavni.
On the Dnipro axis, the enemy conducted no assault actions over the past day.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected on the Volyn and Polissia axes.
