Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussed bilateral relations, Russia's war against Ukraine, and the situation on the Korean Peninsula on the sidelines of the Group of 20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro.
Wang Yi said that Beijing was ready to work with Russia. In a statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spoke of further strengthening bilateral “comprehensive strategic coordination.
“We are indeed at an unprecedented stage in the development of our strategic relationship to the level of a comprehensive partnership,” Lavrov said in response.
