The Cabinet of Ministers will provide Ukrainians with a one-time financial assistance payment for Independence Day. It will be received by war veterans, participants of the Revolution of Dignity, and family members of fallen veterans. This was reported by UNN with reference to government resolution No. 602 dated May 13, 2026.
Details
As stated in the resolution, for the purpose of implementing a one-time financial payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine to war veterans, as well as victims of Nazi persecution, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to establish a one-time financial payment in the following amounts:
- For persons with disabilities resulting from war and former underage prisoners (who were under 14 at the time of imprisonment) of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, recognized as persons with disabilities due to general illness, occupational injury, or other causes: Group I - 3,100 hryvnias; Group II - 2,900 hryvnias; Group III - 2,700 hryvnias.
- Combatants, injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity, and former minor prisoners (who were under 18 at the time of imprisonment) of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, as well as children born in the specified places of forced detention of their parents, will receive 1,000 hryvnias each.
- Persons who have special merits to the Motherland will be paid 3,100 hryvnias each.
- Also, family members of fallen war veterans will receive 650 hryvnias each.
- War participants and former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, persons who were forcibly taken for forced labor, children of partisans, underground fighters, and other participants in the struggle against the National Socialist regime behind enemy lines will be paid 450 hryvnias each.
It is noted that the one-time assistance will be paid by August 24.
