According to Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, last night the Defense Forces destroyed 14 of 16 enemy UAVs, UNN reports .

According to the Air Force, on the night of March 17, the Russian occupiers struck

  • 5 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions,
  • two X-59 guided missiles in the Chernihiv region,
  • 16 attack UAVs of the "Shahed" type (areas of drone launches - Cape Chauda, Crimea).

Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and the Army, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, were involved in repelling the air attack.

As a result of combat operations, 14 "shaheds" were shot down in Odesa region.

The Southern Defense Forces earlier reported that 13 Shaheds were shot down overnight. There were also hits to agricultural enterprises in Odesa region.
