Ukraine has received another 4 billion euros from the EU under the ERA program, financed by profits from immobilized Russian assets. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on social media on Wednesday, writes UNN.
Ukraine received a tranche of macro-financial assistance from the EU in the amount of 4 billion euros within the framework of the ERA loan mechanism, which was allocated today, October 1, on the day Ukraine honors its Defenders
The tranche, according to her, is secured by proceeds from frozen assets of the Russian central bank in the European Union and "is an important signal for us about Europe's determination to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and provide long-term support."
"I thank European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis for their leadership. These funds mean thousands of saved lives, rebuilt cities, and Ukraine's irreversible European path," she emphasized.
As the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, noted in turn, upon arriving at the informal EU summit in Copenhagen, "today we are allocating 4 billion euros to Ukraine. And, as agreed with them, half will be allocated to drones."
