Ukraine has received $1 billion from Japan and the United Kingdom. This was announced on Tuesday, December 24, by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

According to the Prime Minister, the tranche was received under guarantees from the governments of these states under the World Bank's DPL program.
The funds raised will be used to strengthen our economy and finance priority expenditures in the social and humanitarian spheres

For reference
DPL is a systemic project aimed at supporting reforms in Ukraine. The funds provided are credited to the general fund of the state budget in a single tranche based on the results of the tasks completed before the agreement is signed.
The key reforms were aimed at strengthening the economic policy framework for sustainable growth. In particular, reforms related to railroad infrastructure, customs and tax policy, anti-corruption, state-owned enterprises, and private sector development.
