The heating season is ending in Ukraine and preparations for the next one are beginning. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister for Restoration - Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba on Saturday in Telegram, writes UNN.
Ukraine is completing the heating season and starting preparations for the next one. (...) This winter period was difficult. Constant attacks on the energy system, emergency situations, complex weather dynamics. But we managed to ensure stable heat supply in most regions. On average, 95.4% of residential buildings, almost 100% of educational and medical institutions received heat. This is the result of clear coordination between the government, communal services, local authorities and energy companies.
In particular, as Kuleba noted, 148 cogeneration units with an additional capacity of 110.9 MW and 84 modular boiler houses with a total capacity of 156.9 MW were put into operation in the regions this winter.
In addition, according to him, it is planned to install more than 330 cogeneration units and 200 modular boiler houses this year.

He also noted that "preparations for the next winter have already begun". The main priorities for preparing for the next season include restoring infrastructure in the affected regions, introducing distributed generation, modernizing heating networks and increasing energy efficiency. According to him, special attention will be paid to the city of Kryvyi Rih, where it is planned to modernize heating networks and introduce a new heating supply scheme, and install new equipment.
"In parallel, in all regions: a database of objects that need repair is being formed; stocks of gas, coal and equipment are being accumulated; negotiations are underway with international partners regarding technical assistance," Kuleba said.
