The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 113 million for consulting services for the preparation of a draft agreement on minerals with the United States, and also instructed to urgently involve consultants. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Cabinet of Ministers' order.

The Cabinet of Ministers explains the need to allocate funds in order to protect the national interests of Ukraine and form Ukraine's position, taking into account the specifics of the legislation of the United States and Ukraine. This is happening during the preparation of a coordinated position of Ukraine regarding the negotiation process with the United States for the conclusion of the Agreement on the establishment of the Investment Fund for Reconstruction.
In particular, the Ministry of Economy is instructed to allocate 59,000 hryvnias, and the Ministry of Justice - 54 005 hryvnias. At the same time, the government instructed the Ministry of Finance to carry out the specified expenditures on a non-refundable basis at the expense of the reserve fund of the state budget.
Similarly, the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministries of Economy and Justice to immediately ensure the involvement of consultants with experience in providing advisory services to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by April 15, 2025. We are talking about services in the management of public debt and the implementation of state external borrowings - it is also proposed to involve consultants from leading international law firms in the preparation of Ukraine's negotiating positions regarding the conclusion of the Agreement on the establishment of the Investment Fund for Reconstruction.
In addition, the Ministries of Justice and Economy are instructed to:
- Approve within three days, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, a list of expenses related to the implementation of measures.
- Submit a report on the use of the allocated funds by December 26, 2025.
