The body of a 31-year-old man was recovered by divers from the Uzh River in Korosten, Zhytomyr region.
According to eyewitnesses, he was relaxing with his wife on the riverbank and decided to go for a swim, but soon disappeared from sight.
Rescuers in a boat were unable to find the man. His body was discovered by divers from the Korosten City Municipal Water Rescue Service at a distance of 6 meters from the shore and at a depth of 2 meters.
And in the village of Yampil, Khmelnytskyi region, a grandmother and her granddaughter drowned.
Rescuers found the body of a woman born in 1962 on the shore, which had been pulled from the water by local residents. Using a boat, emergency workers searched the water body and discovered the body of a girl born in 2014.
The causes and circumstances of the tragedy are being established by law enforcement officers.
"Rescuers once again warn: you should only relax near water in specially designated and equipped areas. Protect your life and the lives of your loved ones!" - the State Emergency Service emphasized.
