Trump promised revenge: Politico reveals which American politicians are on the “blacklist”

After returning to the White House, Donald Trump may try to take revenge on his political opponents. Politico has compiled a list of American politicians who may become "victims," UNN reports.

Politico notes that Donald Trump conducted an election campaign based on the viplat. Now it has the perfect capabilities for this.

For years, Trump has filled his speeches and social media posts with vindictive calls for the prosecution, imprisonment, deportation, and even execution of his political opponents, his critics, and members of the media. In the final weeks of the 2024 campaign, he took these promises of retribution to the extreme.

As the author of the article emphasizes, now that Trump has won, he has the popular mandate - and the authority - to begin implementing his platform of punishment.

Many Trump supporters dismissed these threats as campaign rhetoric. They noted that his calls against his enemies only rarely led to action during his first four years in office.

But others — including some of Trump's closest advisers-ominously warn that he is likely to put those threats into practice. After all, he does not need to worry about his rating, since he can no longer run for a new presidential term.

A recent Supreme Court ruling granting presidents broad immunity from criminal liability even after they leave office may give him the courage to launch a crackdown. And it is expected that he will be surrounded by aides more willing to bend the rules to fulfill his wishes.

Politico has compiled a list of people who, according to Trump himself, should be most afraid, in particular:

President Joe Biden

Trump has frequently called Biden corrupt, and in June posted a message on Truth Social saying he should be "arrested for treason." In last year's speech, Trump promised: "I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the entire Biden crime family.

Vice President Kamala Harris

Trump called Harris's failure to control migration so serious that people have been "killed because of her actions at the border." He said at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in September that Harris "should be impeached and prosecuted" for her role in allowing what he called an "invasion" of the United States by undocumented immigrants.

Former President Barack Obama

In 2020, Trump accused Obama of "treason" for what Trump describes as FBI surveillance of his 2016 presidential campaign because of its ties to Russia. In fact, the email check was directed at a former foreign policy adviser in that campaign.

In August of this year, Trump reposted a message on Truth Social calling for "public military tribunals" for Obama.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

"Put her in jail!"it was a memorable refrain from Trump's 2016 campaign rallies, which vaguely hinted at Clinton's use of private email when she was secretary of state and the FBI investigation, which led to no charges being filed.

In an interview in June of this year, Trump suggested that Clinton should be prosecuted against him.

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi

In September, Trump said that Pelosi should be prosecuted in connection with her husband's sale of Visa shares months before the Department of Justice sued the company for allegedly violating antitrust laws. "Nancy Pelosi should be prosecuted for this," Trump said.

He also said that Pelosi should be held accountable for allegedly failing to provide adequate security at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, when Trump supporters stormed the building as Congress prepared to certify Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election.

New York Attorney General Letitia James

James drew Trump's ire over a lawsuit she filed accusing him of widespread fraud in Trump's business empire. The case led to a verdict against Trump worth more than Трампа 450 million, which appealed.

Last November, Trump said on Truth Social that James "should be prosecuted" for her role in the lawsuit. In January, he said at a campaign rally in Iowa that James "should be arrested and punished appropriately.

Manhattan Judge Arthur Engoron

Engoron, a trial judge in New York, faced a torrent of attacks from Trump when he presided over James' civil fraud case. During the campaign earlier this year, Trump said that Engoron "should be arrested and punished accordingly.

Former member of the House of Representatives Liz Cheney

Cheney angered Trump when she was vice chair of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. She is also one of the most prominent Republican figures to publicly support Harris over Trump. In March, Trump said on Truth Social that Cheney "should go to jail." In June, he reposted a messagein which he called Cheney "guilty of treason.

Hunter Biden and the rest of the Biden family

Trump has said he will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate what he says is corruption involving the Biden family. He did not give clear information about who would be investigated and for what, but sometimes spoke about the money that Biden's son Hunter received from Chinese sources. "When I return to office, I will appoint a real special prosecutor to investigate every detail of the corrupt Biden family," Trump said last year.

In June, Hunter Biden was found guilty of gun charges, and in September,  pleaded guilty to tax violations. He has never faced any charges directly related to his work for foreign organizations.

Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg

Trump and some of his allies have sharply criticized Zuckerberg after he and his wife Priscilla Chan allocated $420 million in 2020 to improve election infrastructure. Trump's supporters claim that this money was a thinly veiled conspiracy to undermine his re-election. In a book published in September, Trump accused Zuckerberg of "a shameful... conspiracy against the president" and warned: "We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time, he will spend the rest of his life in prison.
