U.S. President Donald Trump remains in excellent health, his physician stated in a memo released by the White House on Friday, citing results from an examination conducted this week which showed the 79-year-old president continues to experience "slight lower leg swelling" and has "minor" bruising on his hands, UNN reports, citing Reuters.

"President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating good cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical status," Dr. Sean Barbabella wrote in a Tuesday memo released late Friday night, adding that Trump is "fully fit to perform all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State."
Trump's Tuesday visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, his third visit in 13 months, was closely monitored as the White House has had to detail several health concerns over the past year after photographs showed swollen ankles, bruised hands, and marks on his neck.
Shortly after the visit, Trump stated that "everything went perfectly."
Barbabella's memo mentioned "slight lower leg edema... with improvement compared to last year" and ongoing bruising on the hands, which were described as "common," "benign," and "consistent with minor soft tissue irritation associated with frequent handshaking while on aspirin for cardiovascular prophylaxis."
The memo did not mention the reason for the skin treatment on the president's neck in March and did not indicate that he underwent another MRI scan, as was done in October.
Trump, who turns 80 in June and became the oldest person to hold the office of U.S. President, often appears more energetic and fit than his Democratic predecessor Joe Biden, who left office last year at age 82 after questions arose about his fitness for the job.
The memorandum released Friday stated that the president's overall cardiac function is normal and that a "comprehensive neurological examination demonstrated a normal mental status," including screening for depression and anxiety.
"Preventative counseling was provided, including dietary recommendations, low-dose aspirin guidance, increased physical activity, and continued weight loss," the memo stated.
Trump's height is 6'3" (190 cm) and his weight is 238 lbs (108 kg), the memorandum added.
