Trump was asked about the negotiations with Iran that took place over the weekend.
He said that Vice President J.D. Vance did a "good job" with envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
"I can tell you that we were called by the other side, they very much want to make a deal," he said.
When asked about the stumbling block in the negotiations, Trump replied that "it was the nuclear issue."
"Iran will not have nuclear weapons. And we agreed on a lot, but they didn't agree on that. And I think they will agree," he added.
