Three militants of the Russian terrorist group of Ihor Bezler, nicknamed "Bes", who in 2014 with particular cruelty tortured and raped a civilian Ukrainian woman — a volunteer, have been notified of suspicion, UNN reports, citing the GUR.

With the assistance of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine have notified three militants of the Russian terrorist group of Ihor Bezler, nicknamed "Bes", who in 2014 with particular cruelty tortured and raped a civilian Ukrainian woman — a volunteer, of suspicion.
The criminals were identified within the framework of the project "The Book of Executioners of the Ukrainian People".
According to the GUR, in June 2014, the volunteer, together with three acquaintances, carried out a humanitarian mission to evacuate civilians from the combat zone in Luhansk region. Near Rovenky, they were detained by militants of the so-called "military commandant's office of the city of Antratsyt".
On June 22, 2014, the volunteers were brought to occupied Horlivka, Donetsk region, where they were brutally abused in torture chambers set up by "Bes" militants. Hammers, a screwdriver, and pliers were used for torture. The woman suffered numerous fractures and wounds. A phalanx of the little finger on her left hand was cut off with garden shears. The volunteer was freed at the end of September 2014.

Currently serves in the Russian occupation army as commander of a motorized rifle battalion of the 291st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces. All three have been notified of suspicion of cruel treatment of civilians and violation of the laws and customs of war, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Torture, inhuman treatment, and unlawful deprivation of liberty are gross violations of international humanitarian law, in particular the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and are qualified as war crimes. The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminds: every Russian war criminal and every participant in Kremlin-controlled terrorist groups will be identified and will bear fair responsibility for crimes against the Ukrainian people
