The athlete also drew attention to the creation of rules that would make it impossible to advertise Russian athletes at international sports competitions. He also opposes the admission of Russians to the 2026 Olympic Games. According to him, this will help stop the war and the death of people in Ukraine.

Dominik Hašek played for the Czechoslovakian national hockey team from 1983, and later for the Czech national team. He is the Olympic champion of 1998, two-time winner of the Stanley Cup in 2002 and 2008. He is considered one of the best goalkeepers in NHL history.

Hašek has consistently supported Ukraine after the full-scale Russian invasion. He openly condemned the actions of the Russian Federation, for which State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev attacked him with insults.
