In January-October 2023, more than 200 criminal offenses were registered in Ukraine regarding the illegal use of humanitarian aid, charitable donations or free aid for profit. 50 people were notified of suspicion. In January-October 2023, 208 criminal proceedings were registered in Ukraine under Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal use of humanitarian aid for profit. Twenty-four proceedings were sent to court.
50 people were notified of suspicion of illegal use of humanitarian aid, charitable donations or free aid for profit) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Most proceedings were registered in Kyiv - 42, Khmelnytskyi region - 16, Dnipropetrovska region - 13, Volynska region - 12, Mykolaivska region - 11, and 10 each in Kyiv and Sumy regions. 9 proceedings were registered in Chernivtsi and Kharkiv regions. 8 each in Zakarpattia, Lviv, and Rivne regions.
The lowest number of proceedings for illegal use of humanitarian aid for profit was registered in Poltava region - 1, 2 in Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions.
For comparison, in 2022, 384 criminal proceedings were registered in Ukraine for the illegal use of humanitarian aid for profit. 25 proceedings were sent to court. 92 people have been notified of suspicion. In January-December 2022, the highest number of offenses was recorded in Kyiv - 86. There were 46 in Lviv region, 25 in Kirovohrad region, 21 in Kharkiv region, and 20 in Dnipropetrovs'k and Khmelnytskyi regions. Luhansk and Kherson regions recorded one offense each.
