Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov spoke to the graduates of the Kyiv School of Economics. He is convinced that the war will end, but then there will be other tasks that will not be easier. Writes UNN with reference to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, addressed the graduates of the Kyiv School of Economics who received their master's degrees. He congratulated them on successful graduation and delivered a speech.
Despite the war and the numerous challenges that all Ukrainians have faced, these young people have stayed in Ukraine to get their education here to become better and make our common country better
He added that the American combat general, hero of two world wars, George Patton, once said: “Don't stop. Someone has to be the first, why not you?” There are no unattainable goals for a person who is eager for knowledge and ready for challenges.
Fate has chosen us - we are living and studying in an extraordinary time. Right now and right here in Ukraine, with our participation, global issues are being resolved that will have decisive consequences for the history of our country and for humanity as a whole. The new generation of the Ukrainian nation must help the world find answers to these questions. And then we will face other tasks that are no less important and no less difficult
Budanov emphasized that this always happens when a nation decides to follow its own untrodden path. “I think this is normal. Any movement forward meets resistance. So when you feel resistance, when it is difficult, it means you are doing everything right,” the intelligence officer said.
We are and always will be. And we will overcome all enemies. Remember - you must always be the first, number one. Never try to be “no worse than someone else” or “on par with the leaders”, no - only number one
He was also awarded the honorary title of the Kyiv School of Economics for his achievements in the development of Ukrainian statehood, the security of the Ukrainian nation, and strategic cooperation with educational and scientific institutions.
