Russia launched 28 missiles at Ukraine overnight, including 24 ballistic missiles and 4 Zircon-type missiles, as well as 115 drones; 98 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down or suppressed, while no information has been reported about the missiles, UNN writes, citing the data of the Ukrainian Air Force on Wednesday.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, overnight on August 5 (from 18:00 on August 4), the enemy attacked with 4 Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles from Russia’s Kursk and Rostov regions; 24 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk regions; 115 Shahed-type attack UAVs (most of them jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol – Russia; the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk; and Hvardiiske – the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense forces had shot down/suppressed 98 enemy Shahed-type, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits by missiles and 17 attack UAVs were recorded at 26 locations, as well as the crashes of downed aircraft (debris) at 6 locations
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs are in the airspace.
