The President of Ukraine signed law No. 4921-IX "On State Regulation of Organic Production, Circulation and Labeling of Organic Products", which harmonizes the rules of the organic market with the requirements of the European Union. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, writes UNN.

The document implements European norms regarding organic production, control and labeling of products, and is also part of Ukraine's fulfillment of its obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU.
The law introduces a new system of state control through authorized certification bodies under state supervision, harmonizes requirements for production and labeling with EU standards, expands the list of organic products, introduces group certification and creates new state registers.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy notes that the innovations will simplify Ukrainian producers' access to the EU market, reduce bureaucratic barriers and strengthen trust in Ukrainian organic products.
