The power system is currently operating stably. Amid Russia's massive attack, Ukrainians are urged to conserve electricity

Emergency blackouts continue to be in effect in Kharkiv region after the Russian attack on energy facilities in the region.  In addition, consumption limits are in place for industrial consumers in Kryvyi Rih. Currently, Ukraine's power system is operating stably, but Ukrainians are urged to consume electricity sparingly. UNN reports this with reference to the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo. 

Details 

This morning, as a result of a massive combined attack, Russian missiles and drones reportedly damaged Ukrenergo substations and generation facilities in Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv and Kyiv regions. 

Starting from 06:31, emergency outage schedules were introduced in Kharkiv region. In other regions, consumption restrictions for household consumers were not applied.  However, during the hours of daily maximum consumption from 19:00 to 21:00, Ukrenergo's Dispatch Center calls for limiting the use of powerful energy-intensive appliances

It is also noted that industrial consumers are subject to consumption limits in Kryvyi Rih.

According to Ukrenergo, yesterday, during the evening peak hours of consumption, the power system lacked electricity - there was a deficit. To maintain the balance in the power system, Ukrenergo's dispatch center from 20:00 to 21:00 engaged emergency assistance from the Polish power system operator PSE in the total amount of 200 MWh.

The Ministry of Energy added that Ukraine's power system is currently operating stably. 

De-energization 

As of this morning, 380 settlements are without electricity. Due to hostilities: there are power outages in Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

Import and Export 

Imports are expected in the morning and evening hours from Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 833 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 494 MW in some hours.

Exports  - during the daytime hours of maximum activity of RES power plants to Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Moldova. The total volume is 2,812 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 371 MW in some hours.
