A senior U.S. Department of Defense official stated that the costs of the war with Iran are currently estimated at $25 billion.
Acting Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) Jule Hurst III stated that the majority of the costs were for munitions, but the military also spent funds on conducting operations and replacing equipment.
"We will prepare a supplemental request through the White House, which will be submitted to Congress once we have a full assessment of the cost of the conflict," Hurst added.
