Today, the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Participation of Civilians in the Defense of Ukraine" came into force to improve the procedure for obtaining, declaring and handling firearms. This was reminded by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, according to UNN.
"If you find firearms and ammunition, you must immediately declare them. This can be done at the National Police units," the ministry said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explains how to declare found weapons and what is needed in an infographic.
Earlier, UNN reportedthat the Diia app will allow users to view information about weapons. Also, users will be able to order a digital extract from the Unified Register of Weapons, which will help to control the validity of the permit in time.
The Interior Ministry says that the Diia app will allow people to view information about their weapons by the end of January.
