Palantir's technologies will allow us to apply innovative tools to create policies based on a data-driven approach that will help us make effective management decisions in the field of education. The Ministry of Education and Science is actively cooperating with Palantir and is already using the artificial intelligence technologies provided by the company. The Ministry's team has developed a methodology for assessing security risks in the education system. This is an analysis of all regions for compliance with security conditions to restore safe face-to-face education

- explained Dmytro Zavgorodnyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.

It is noted that on the basis of zoning, community leaders, school principals, and education departments can make quality management decisions to improve the level of education in the regions and effectively arrange safe spaces for children.

Understanding the levels of risk will help the state prioritize the distribution of subventions for the repair or construction of shelters in educational institutions to reach the largest number of children, given limited resources.

Addendum

Palantir's Senior Vice President for Europe, Louis Mosley, said that the agreement reinforces Palantir's unwavering support for Ukraine. According to him, it will help reduce the number of children who have been deprived of their right to quality education due to Russian aggression, and will also strengthen the country's effective development in the long term.

In general, cooperation within the framework of the memorandum provides for:

  • analysis of educational and financial data, the current model of the educational system, in order to transform Soviet-style educational institutions into modern innovative spaces based on this information;
  • assess the security situation in communities in order to create all the necessary conditions for children to attend school full-time, and identify priority schools, kindergartens and communities for the construction of shelters;
  • analyzing data on children's academic progress, their correlation with the security situation and other factors to further make management decisions on the further transformation of individual educational institutions and the Ukrainian education system as a whole;
  • providing innovative technologies, including AI, as well as analytical tools for making effective management decisions by educational institutions, communities, local governments, and the government.
  • modeling a network for maintaining ties with Ukrainian children who are forced to stay abroad through the introduction of a Ukrainian studies component in school education institutions designated by local governments.
