The Russian Ministry of Defense recognized the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with ATACMS missiles on army facilities in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, reports UNN.
"According to confirmed data, over the past three days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have carried out two strikes with long-range Western weapons against targets in the Kursk region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country states that on November 23, Ukraine launched five American-made ATACMS tactical missiles in the area of Lotarevka settlement (37 km north-west. Kursk) according to the position of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile division.
During the anti–missile battle, the combat crew of the Pantsir missile defense system, which provided cover for this division, allegedly destroyed three ATACM missiles, and two reached the target.
"As a result of the impact, the radar was damaged. There are casualties among the personnel," the message says.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that on November 25, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched another strike with eight ATACMS tactical missiles at the Kursk-Vostochny airfield (Halino settlement). Allegedly, seven missiles were shot down by combat crews of the S-400 air defense system and the Pantsir missile defense system, one reached the target. As a result of falling rocket fragments, two servicemen were slightly injured and infrastructure facilities were slightly damaged.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that it allegedly controls the situation. The aggressor country also threatened that retaliatory actions were being prepared.
